From his yard at Purves Hall near Greenlaw, the horses are still
trained on his gallops that produced such winners as Sunbird and
Fiddler’s Creek.

Dick identifies horses that are not running at their best and excels
at getting them into peak physical condition ready for much improved
performances.

He has purchased horses on tight budgets and turned them into
winners. Recent successes include Zabeel Tower that has won
5 races since moving to Dick’s yard.

Dick’s his aim to maintain a small string where each horse gets his individual attention.
